1. Visit the websites of at least five large corporations and locate a biography of each CEO’s?
 Steve jobs – Apple; Steven Paul Jobs is an American business magnate and inventor. He is well known for being the co-founder and chief executive officer of Apple. Jobs also previously served as chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios.

 Yun Jong – Yong - Samsung Electricals; Jong-Yong Yun has been Chief Executive Officer and Vice-Chairman of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. since 1999 and serves as CEO and Vice-Chairman of Samsung Corp. Mr. Yun served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., since 1996.

 Jeffrey P Bezos – Amazon .com; Jeffrey Preston "Jeff" Bezos is the founder, president, chief executive officer and chairman of the board of Amazon.com

 Margaret C Whitmann – Ebay; Margaret Cushing "Meg" Whitman is an American businesswoman. Whitman served as an executive in The Walt Disney Company where she was vice president of strategic planning throughout the 1980s.

 Eric E Schmidt– Google ;Eric Emerson Schmidt is an engineer, Chairman/CEO of Google and a former member of the Board of Directors of Apple Inc. He is the author of the lexical analyzer software for Unix.


2. What formal management education do these leaders have? In your opinion, what is the appropriate amount of formal education needed to be a corporate CEO? Why?

 In order to be a well formal educated person, a leader must have their good personality which is a special ingredient to be a perfect CEO. A CEO should know how to handle critical challenges of times, know hoe to grab opportunities, and detecting long term opportunities that is one of the integral aspect of a CEO task.
 In order to achieve a formal management education leaders must well performed this:

 Flexibility, Pace, adaptability to change – as worlds are roaring from times about change management
 Succession planning- to keep the race going on
 Customer loyalty and retention- with multiple brands in market and the transformation of market in to buyers market from the olden times sellers market
 Long term vision
 Stimulating innovation and creativity and enabling entrepreneurship
 Tight cost control
 Highly competitive
 Seizing opportunities for expansion and growth

Negative Externality
















In this picture we can see that a Sole has its benefit with its favorite perfume; but in the other hand, only the sole can benefit its smell. What am I saying is that? A perfume worn by others or in air fresheners and other fragranced products can give other people an allergic reaction. Therefore, it gives negative externality or External Cost to other people.

Minsan, naglalaro sa utak ko yang tanong na yan. Yung tipong kapag dadaan kaya ako, may taong bumibilis din yung tibok ng puso? May tao rin kayang iniiyakan ako? Kinukwento ako sa mga kaibigan niya? Eh meron rin kayang kinikilig ng dahil sakin?

Kung mayroon man sigurong nagkaka-crush sakin, hindi ko alam kung ano ang dapat kong maramdaman. Halo-halo. Masaya na malungkot. Masaya kasi, may tao pa palang nakaka-appreciate sa aking mga ginagawa at ginagawa akong inspirasyon. Malungkot naman dahil siyempre, hindi naman porque may gusto ka sa isang tao ay gugustuhin ka rin niya. Baka kasi hindi ko alam na may nasasaktan na pala ako at nakakadurog na ako ng puso.

Ayun. Wala lang.

kanya na gagawin mo din ‘yung ganun.
* Kapag may kausap siyang iba, nagseselos ka na.
* Kahit siya may kasalanan, lagi kang nagpapatawad.
* Ginagawa mo ang lahat para sa kanya.

Kung mahal mo talaga ang isang tao kahit ano magagawa mo. ‘Yung mga hindi mo pa naranasan, mararanasan mo. Maging malungkot man o masaya. Pero minsan, kahit nagawa mo na ang lahat, kahit sobra-sobra na. Para sakanya, kulang parin. ‘Yung bang naranasan mo ng magmahal ng totoo, pero bandang huli ikaw ‘yung niloloko. Tapos wala ka ng ibang magawa kung ‘di ang umiyak. Natuto kang umiinom ng alak, mag-yosi, nagpaka-adik, sa pag-aakalang sa paraang ganun eh maghihilom ang sakit dyan sa puso mo. Minsan, naghahanap ka pa ng iba, para lang pagselosin mo siya. Effective naman ba? Meron pa. Kahit anong pa-cute mo din sa kanya hindi ka niya napapansin. Kahit ibuhos mo na rin siguro ang isang bote ng pabango mo hindi ka niya pa rin. Magsusout ka man siguro ng disente o todo porma wala pa rin. Haay. Ang pag-ibig talaga…

REACTION

Joey Velasco's work instead of putting the apostles in the picture he uses the street children to show how these children really needed us. To help them and share what we had, neither food, shelter, money, or love and care. It teaches me how to value and appreciate life. It touched me with its sincerity of execution through his canvas. The picture of last supper.
It was very touching. That suddenly it came to my mind if i have the initiative to help this less fortunate? I can’t believe even though there cause is like "hopeless for me" they always thought that God is always with them. It made a big impact in our selves s we watch it and we were very touched and moved; some of us were ashamed of ourselves, saddened, and conscience interrupted. It opened us more in reality on what we are trying to pursue in our profession. This leaves me numerous unwavering questions of - anong pagkain ang masarap para sa kanila?may pagkakataon pa ba silang isipin ito sa naghihingalo nilang sikmura?ano ang lasa ng matamis, maalat, mapait, pangit at masarap, pareho pa ba sa atin? di kaya'y makalamon lang, wala ng usapan.Gaano ba kabusog ang katagang busog para sa kanila kung hikahos silang makakain ng isang kutsarang kanin sa isang araw?ano ba ang lasa ng bawat pagnguya nila?may lasa pa ba?
If people had watched this for real and knows the reality, they won't bother to think that if Jesus exist, they would be saved, because He is with us. We have the capacity to help them
It made my perspective in life different. It taught me a lesson that life is so precious. This will really make you think for the real reality. We must not be blind and deaf because of this so called cancer of the society "POVERTY"

The Bago Aplaya

The Bago Aplaya poem is entitled because there is a place here in Davao which is located in Toril named Bago Aplaya where there’s a lot of fisherman. The Bago Aplaya by Don Pagusara is a nice poem and it has a real life lesson. The poem itself stated and described the life of a fisherman. Even though fisherman is an ordinary job, they are still thankful. They embraced and contented in what they have. Being a fisherman is also one of the dangerous jobs. Specially when we have a bad weather the storms and big crashes of waves makes them struggle more, but they keep on going, cause they believe God is there whose leading them with a light in a pathway, who are also helping and watching them, doing their jobs just to catch fish so that they might help and support their families and do their full responsibilities to other people to earn small capitals.  Even in the night they keep on going, fishing through the darkness, his poem has a happy tone. Weather they have a small job or ordinary job it is not the bases to judge people directly. They learned how to be contented in what they have and that thing makes them happy. “Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together”. While the Bago Aplaya by Macario D. Tui has mixed emotion tone, it was a tragic celebration he was enjoying accompanying those people who gather to celebrate, the new boat that has been recently baptized. He emphasized here that these ordinary people are lucky with their new boat and new equipment. While watching them having fun, he also felt the happiness that they felt. But while the waves are starting to rise, those flash backs memories came back. He realized a lot of sadness or those times that may not came back once it happen. The second part of his poem seems to be sad , he felt he was like a old poet which means once it is read and became famous it will not last long and became to decade or forgotten by. It’s not just because of the waves which he thought of it but the condition that he felt. That maybe as the time goes by he will get old, and have some serious illness and no one else will take care of him. He is afraid to be left by his love ones. Or maybe he also thought of that special someone whom he loved and also loved him back, but they have to be separated for some reason. Those crushes of the waves made us more emotional, the things that going to happen unexpectedly in the future. I’m finding it hard to believed but expect the unexpected.
